KUDOS active operation with Linn

Kudos has embraced active operation in collaboration with Linn, featuring their signature minimalist, low order crossover design. This design allows for seamless matching of the drive units and enables the Titan crossover to be bypassed for active operation with Linn systems. Unlike traditional audio systems that use a single power amplifier channel per loudspeaker, active systems employ one power amplifier per drive unit, enhancing performance and providing a broader range of upgrade options.

Cardea Super 20A

The Cardea Super 20A model merges the SEAS Crescendo K2 tweeter from the Titan T88 with a bass/midrange driver designed exclusively for this model. This driver includes a copper shorting ring to reduce eddy currents and an aluminum phase plug for heat dissipation. These drive units, unique to Kudos, are precisely engineered to work together, delivering superior sound quality for its size and price. The evolution to the Super 20A also allows for compatibility with Linn’s Space Optimisation+ technology, further enhancing performance by addressing room acoustic challenges.

Cardea Super 10A

For those with limited space, the Cardea Super 10A is the ideal solution. Designed as a compact standmount loudspeaker, it offers exceptional musical performance without requiring the space of a floorstander. While it may not deliver the same level of bass as a floorstander, the Super 10A does not compromise on lower-end presence or the ability to produce a three-dimensional soundstage. Inspired by the design of the Super 20A floorstander, the Super 10A ensures that listeners will experience every nuance of music, including the breathtaking silence between notes.
