Add HMDI 2.0 Capability

In September 2016, compatibility with HDMI 2.0 was introduced, enabling seamless UHD (4K) and HDR video pass-through. This ensures compatibility with ultra-high definition video sources and displays. Additionally, this specification supports HDCP 2.2 encryption, ARC (audio return channel), and CEC (consumer electronics control).

Add Surround Sound Processing capability (up to 7.1 channels)

In January 2019, an upgrade was introduced for select models of Linn DSM, offering Surround Sound Processing. This upgrade enables on-board processing of up to 7.1 channels of Dolby and DTS audio** in a Surround Sound system, compatible with any passive speakers (regardless of brand) or Linn Integrated Exakt speakers.

For a straightforward and high-performance 5.1 Surround solution in a single unit, you can upgrade your Selekt DSM to Selekt DSM Surround with Integrated Power Amps – simply connect your desired speakers.

Dynamik Power

Dynamik represents Linn's exclusive Switch Mode Power Supply technology, which has been utilized in a wide range of Linn products since 2009. You can identify these products by the "Powered by Linn Dynamik" label on the base.

For owners of older compatible products, a Dynamik upgrade module is available to enhance the power supply. This upgrade is considered one of the most valuable and popular options.

Linn led the way in employing Switch Mode Power Supplies for high-end audio, designing our own audio-optimized power supply technology to generate stable and low-noise power rails for the audio circuitry. This technology is efficiently packaged, resulting in a compact and cool-running solution.
