Elite moving coil cartridge

At Linn, the term "Kendo" holds distinctive connotations, contrasting its traditional Japanese meaning of "way of the sword." Instead, it represents the embodiment of an enthusiastic apprentice, taking on a new significance within our context.

Kendo, derived from the Japanese term meaning "way of the sword," is a contemporary martial art form. However, at Linn, the word carries unique significance. Our interpretation of Kendo deviates from its traditional context.

In our realm, Kendo represents a meticulously crafted cartridge, featuring a boron body with a super-fine-line diamond tip. The cartridge's armor consists of nickel-coated 7075-grade aluminum, carefully selected for its exceptional properties. Kendo serves as the enthusiastic apprentice to its master, Ekstatik, embodying shared values and acquiring many of its exceptional traits along the way.

Engineered to leverage the successful elements of Ekstatik, Kendo is the result of our tried-and-true trickle-down development methodology. This approach allows us to create a more affordable yet high-performance cartridge that retains the same core design principles and acoustic signature.

Kendo boasts a rigid body made of nickel-coated 7075-grade aluminum, specifically chosen to match the material composition of our Arko tonearm. This intentional material synergy throughout the tonearm system effectively eliminates undesirable resonances, directing them away from the delicate generator, along the arm, and dissipating them through the sub-chassis.
